Spoiler alert! :P Favorite Cylon = Sam Anders. I loved the inclusion of his character in season two, as well as the big reveal at the end of season three. No happy ending for Sam though!
Gods, Bear composed some of the greatest music in television history for Battlestar. The music for each season got even better than the last if you listen to all of the soundtracks one after the other. It’s really amazing.
My favorite Cylon was Tigh. It was an incredible shocker for the leader of the resistance on New Caprica to end up being a Cylon and it led to some of the most emotionally tense scenes of the fourth season. Most notable was Tigh’s admission to Adama that he was one of the Final Five & Adama’s eventual breakdown. Chilling.
OK, so half of the reason I say Six is my favorite is because she’s a hot goddess in the nerd world. But there’s also many versions of her, giving that character lots of depth. I felt so badly to see the captured one on board the other battlestar, and enjoyed all her mind games with poor Gaius.
Wow! I didn’t even know this was in the works, much less out! Bear’s music is so great on Battlestar that I even rushed to Amazon and bought Caprica (great buy) and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chornicles (not so much) hoping to hear more Battlestar-like music. So as soon as I find out that I didn’t actually win this, I’ll be rushing back to buy it anyway! Heck, we had music playing in the delivery room, and I distinctly remember A Good Lighter (Season 1) playing the first time I held my new daughter! Talk about a soundtrack for your life, although I think Bear peaked with Season 3. The Season 4 double disc just didn’t quite hold up, although Gaeta’s Lament and Diaspora Oratorio are definitely highlights.
Oh, and my favorite Cylon… Cavil. Just the pure audacity he showed throughout the series was priceless.
Colonel Tigh is my favourite cylon. I love how he sucks it up and puts on his big girl panties when dealing with the revelation that he is actually a cylon.
My favorite cylon will always be D’Anna, aka. Three. She started out as a regular old evil cylon, but as her curiosity got the best of her, we got to see the fascinating desperation of a woman seeking to know the truth, until that truth, brought about her (temporary) end.
I think there’s something poetically sad about her staying behind on Earth 1.
Tigh is my favorite cylon. Watching him come to grips with his true nature was some amazing acting.
