XBLA Releases R-Type Dimensions Today
Want yet another shoot-em-up space game for the XBox Live Arcade? You’re in luck! R-Type Dimensions releases today and promises all the fly n shoot action you’ve come to expect from the other dozen or so shmups on the Arcade. Dimensions includes the original R-Type, as well as R-Type II, and you’ll be able to switch on the fly (literally, har!) between the classic 2D view and the new 3D graphics. And what would a XBLA revamp be without coop play? You can join a buddy for some spacecraft assault action with an optional ship collision feature.
Developed by SouthEnd Interactive and published by Tozai Games, R-Type Dimensions is available today on the XBLA for 1200 Microsoft Points ($15). Yes, you read that correctly. Fifteen dollars. Lately it seems that 1200 MS Points is the new 800 is the new 400.
