Choker follows the tried and true formula for noir storytelling while adding in some unique, slightly supernatural elements. Unfortunately, die-hard fans of the genre will probably be looking for something with a little more depth than what’s offered here.

The many personalities of Buffy got a show in this issue of the comic, which begs the question — which one is real? And can all the Buffys rejoin into one body to make her whole again? That’s yet to be determined, but we’re still along for the ride!

Even with Tim Seeley still at the helm, eight years and a change in publisher almost guarantees major changes in a comic book series, and I’m glad to see that Tim is keeping things fun and hasn’t fallen victim to the monotony that can accompany comic series that rely too heavily on formulaic plotlines.

I’m not usually one to chastise comic book illustrators for the way they sexualize and objectify women. That said, I couldn’t in good conscience write a review of Grimm Fairy Tales: Myths & Legends #16 without mentioning two illustrations that I found problematic enough to warrant attention.

A reluctant prophet, a broken angel, and the word of God: just another day in the lives of the Winchesters. Those are some of the treats we were given in this week’s episode and the clues were meant to bring us that much closer to the awaited finale, and hopefully the downfall of Richard Roman.

The first issue of Homeworlds tells the story of James Vega, a new character in Mass Effect 3. Once you know the background of Vega, it makes his character more fleshed out and more relatable.

Myths & Legends #15 is the conclusion to the series’s four-part “Beauty and the Beast” story arc that began in issue #12 when readers were introduced to Jeff and Jenna. As always, I recommend Zenescope’s Myths & Legends series to anyone that enjoys the publisher’s other comic books or is looking for a different take on some of the stories we remember from childhood.

Listen up, Sherlock fans — no, really, I mean that literally. Here in the U.S. we’re still waiting to see Series 2 of Steven Moffat’s hit Conan Doyle adaptation but until that happens, we can at least get a taste of things to come with the soundtrack for the next three episodes.

With the promise of Felicia Day, Ghost!Bobby, and the return of Richard Roman, this week’s episode of Supernatural was bound to be action-packed. What I don’t think we realized was that all this action meant the boys were going to be on the sidelines for most of the hour. Did the uneven balance hurt or help this time around? Let’s find out.
