Wonder Woman is coming to DVD and BluRay in February as a brand new animated movie from the same folks who brought you Superman: Doomsday, Batman: Gotham Knight, and Justice League: The New Frontier. Keri Russell will be voicing the Amazonian princess, while fan favorite Nathan Fillion appears as the voice of Steve Trevor. DC Comics’ Executive Editor Dan DiDio talked with Newsarama about last week’s release of DC Universe Zero and its implications for the DC Universe and the directions of the DC characters. DiDio talks in the interview about what’s going on with Final Crisis, touches on Barry Allen a bit, and, most interestingly, shows off his whiteboard that comes replete with teasers for upcoming DC stories. DC has been counting down for a year with their weekly comic Countdown To Final Crisis. Issue #1 (actually the fifty-second issue) released last week, and this week is the calm before the storm with the release of DC Universe Zero. Primarily a preview of all the Final Crisis tie-in stories, Zero does pack a sizeable punch in its ending that is big enough news that mass media news even picked it up.
The big gaming news today is the leakage of some info about an upcoming Mortal Kombat game… It has Batman. Not only does it have Batman, but it presumably has a full pantheon of DC superheroes filling out the ranks. The possibilities are mind-blowing, and this first trailer ratchets my hype up on this game quite a bit.
