Supernatural’s Five Hottest Possessed Chicks

Since Supernatural is a repeat this week, here is a list of five of the most attractive, hottest possessed ladies ever to appear on Supernatural. Enjoy!

1. Ruby (Genevieve Cortese), 4.01 – 4.16

It’s hard to believe that Sam and Dean are not acquainted with Ruby until Season 3 of Supernatural, as her demonic presence has become as commonplace as that of fellow hunter and father-figure Bobby Singer (played by Jim Beaver). Of course, the Ruby that Sam and Dean run into at the beginning of Season 3 is not the same Ruby that we now know and love — on the outside, at least. Initially played by the blonde-haired Katie Cassidy (Taken, Harper’s Island), Sam and Dean (Jensen Ackles) are first introduced to this unnervingly helpful demon during the first episode of Season 3, “The Magnificent Seven,” when she mysteriously appears (per traditional television show conventions) just in time to save Sam from several of the Seven Deadly Sins.

As Sam and Ruby continue to stay in touch over the course of Season 3, the demon’s odd attachment to the younger Winchester boy allows Sam to guilt her into releasing the human body she inhabits — one that still contains a young woman, pushed to the side and made prisoner in her own mind by Ruby’s demonic will. Instead, Ruby “swaps” the blonde’s body for that of a coma patient, played by Genevieve Cortese (Wildfire). As Ruby tells Sam when she hands him some hospital records after switching bodies, “Proof. This body is 100% socially conscious. I recycle. Al Gore would be proud.”

Although Katie Cassidy may have her charms, for those of us that can’t get enough of raven-haired beauties, Genevieve Cortese is a big step up for Ruby as far as body snatching goes. With full, pouting lips and stunning brown eyes, Cortese brings a darker version of classic beauty to her character, one befitting the sexual, sadomasochistic relationship she develops with Sam during the course of Season 4. Given the slight, disarming lisp and emotional intensity that Cortese brings to her character, we’re not surprised that Sam is incapable of resisting her charms.

2. Madison (Emmanuelle Vaugier), 2.17

After the season one death of his serious girlfriend, Jessica Moore, Sam Winchester is convinced that he will never love again. Near the end of season two, however, Sam finds himself unintentionally enamored with a young woman named Madison (Emmanuelle Vaugier, CSI: New York, Two and a Half Men). The Winchesters first meet Madison when they travel to San Francisco to investigate a series of suspicious deaths in which the victims’ hearts are removed. As they suspected, Sam and Dean find themselves on the trail of a very dangerous werewolf who seems to be stalking and killing the people around Madison.

Poor Sam really does have the worst luck; although the boys’ lifestyle isn’t conducive to a long-term relationship, Madison wouldn’t have been completely off limits for Sammy had she not turned out to be the werewolf who was killing San Francisco citizens. With large, brown eyes and an amazing head of long, dark hair, Madison presents a very different — although, in my opinion, much more appealing — figure than Sam’s deceased girlfriend, Jessica. Nevertheless, even after discovering her “condition,” Sam can’t tear himself away from the petite beauty and forces Bobby and Dean to help him uncover a way to reverse the transformation. And believe me, although imaginative, the werewolf version of Madison is far from pretty. In fact, Madison even attacks Sam while in werewolf form and she is so hot, so seductive, that he still sleeps with her.

3. Jo Harvelle (Alona Tal), 2.02 – 2.14; 5.02

Involved with: Dean Winchester (desired, not achieved)

Times have changed a great deal by the time Sam and Dean run into Jo (“Joanna”) Harvelle (played by actress Alona Tal, Veronica Mars, Cane) and her mother, Ellen, again this season. The Winchesters first met Jo and her mother in Season 2 when they came across “the Roadhouse,” an establishment owned and run by the Harvelles and frequented mainly by hunters. Shortly after Jo and Dean meet, it becomes very clear that Jo has a romantic interest in the oldest Winchester brother, but once Dean discovers that his father was responsible for the death of Jo’s father he does everything in his power to push her away with the idea that doing so will prevent him having her blood on his hands.

Jo makes the Supernatural top five list not only because Alona Tal has a smokin’ body and “girl next door” charm about her, but also because Jo is the kind of girl who won’t take #&%$ from anyone, even the infamous Winchester brothers. While her sharp tongue and “devil may care” attitude are the source of constant frustration for Ellen Harvelle (Samantha Ferris, The Evidence, The 4400), these characteristics elevate Jo from among the other girls featured on Supernatural and make her one of the best recurring characters.

I know that the hardcore Supernatural fans reading this are probably wracking their brains to figure out when Jo was possessed, so let me clear that up for you. Although Jo was never actually possessed during the course of the show, in her most recent appearance, episode 5.02: “Good God, Y’all,” Jo appeared to be possessed by a demon, although it turned out to be nothing more than an illusion created by one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Regardless, she’s included on this list because she’s cute, she can kick ass, and she gives Dean Winchester a run for his money on a consistent basis… and I’m sure a lot of you will agree when I say that a hottie with a sawed-off shotgun is a positively scrumptious sight.

4. Anna Milton/Anna (Julie McNiven), 4.09 – 4.16

Involved with: Dean Winchester

Viewers’ first introduction to Anna, the daughter of a small-town priest, is an interesting one: dismissed as nothing more than a troubled girl with adult-onset schizophrenia, Anna is committed to a mental institution because she “hears voices.” Of course, Sam and Dean soon come to realized that Anna isn’t just “hearing voices,” but is somehow tuned into the conversations taking place between Angels — both in Heaven and on Earth. Anna’s ability makes her a prime target for the demons, who view the frail redhead as they key to winning the war that is raging between Heaven and Hell, angels and demons.

As it turns out, Anna isn’t really the daughter of a small-town priest; no, she is a fallen angel who lost her “grace” when she disobeyed an order from God. As punishment she was sentenced to a human life, but once Anna becomes aware of her angelic past, she recruits Sam and Dean to help her search for her grace. As they search, Dean and Anna become romantically involved. Anna is an interesting match for Dean, especially given Dean’s initial skepticism regarding God, Heaven, and the existence of angels. Even physically, though, Anna stands apart from the other girls Dean is involved with on Supernatural. With stunning red hair, porcelain skin and thin, pink lips, Julie McNiven is able to walk successfully the fine line between the two sides of her character: Anna Milton, the scared, confused daughter of a small-town priest who finds herself locked in a mental institution, and Anna, the angel whose conviction and will are so strong that she will defy even orders from God in an effort to do what is truly right.

Anna is one of the most unique looking women to appear on Supernatural to date, and the fact that she isn’t some damsel in distress or one of Dean’s sketchy hook-ups is a huge plus for her character. Although Dean and Anna really only have one shot at being together — Anna’s “last night on Earth” — she remains a very strong character and significant visual presence in later seasons of the show.

5. Tessa/The Reaper (Lindsey McKeon), 2.01; 4.15

Involved with: Dean Winchester (non-romantic)

When Dean ends up in the hospital after a particularly bad car accident at the end of the first season, he finds his body and soul somehow separated from one another. While his “soul” wanders the hospital, Sam and his father, John Winchester, stand by Dean’s comatose body. Enter Tessa, another of the hospital’s patients who also appears to be separated from her body. When Dean and Tessa discover that they can see and hear each other, they wander the hospital together as they try to figure out what exactly is going on.

Tessa is extremely sympathetic. “I don’t understand, I just came in for an appendectomy,” she tells Dean when the pair comes across Tessa’s body in one of the hospital rooms. As she and Dean become closer over the course of the episode (2.01, “In My Time of Dying”), Tessa gently tries to convince her companion that dying wouldn’t be such a terrible thing. Given Dean’s stubborn nature, this idea doesn’t go over very well and Tessa is forced to tell Dean the truth: she’s a Reaper, it’s his time, and he needs to leave with her. Tessa explains to Dean that he is a “vengeful spirit”, a ghost who refuses to cross over. In the end, whether or not Dean will cross over becomes a moot point when John Winchester sells his soul to a demon to save his oldest son’s life.

Although Supernatural is rife with pretty brunettes, Lindsey McKeon is one of the few that stand out for a couple of reasons: first, because she has an air of innocence about her that is extremely appealing, and second, because she exudes a very classy sex appeal that very few of the other actresses are able to achieve. Something about the way that Tessa is framed, both in season two and in her most recent appearance, episode 4.15, “Death Takes a Holiday,” establishes Tessa’s ethereal nature and makes her seem untouchable… making us want to touch her perfectly sculpted arms and flawless skin that much more.
