I love this review! It’s the first one to match my opinion of the movie. I love it. My expectations were met though. I expected A class performances from Seyfried and Gallner( I loved them both on Veronica Mars), Diablo Cody’s writing in the B horror mold, and a chance to see if Megan Fox can act. And she can. My regret is not seeing this movie in theaters like I’d wanted.
Now I just need the book and comic. Already own the soundtrack.

Finally! Someone who actually appreciates the subtle context of this horror-comedy-thiller…oh, hell with it. Jennifer’s Body is so unique that it defies categorization. No, this is not perfect, as you said. These types of movies don’t have to be. And I went to this movie because of Diablo Cody, not Megan Fox (I avoided seeing both Transformer movies!). The same dialogue is there. It’s just not coming from Ellen Paige. And though Fox is no Streep, that isn’t fair to her. Fox CAN act, by the way. I BELIEVED that she was both a shallow popular girl in HS AND a demonic succubus devouring boys. That first scene after the fire in Needy’s house, Jennifer played it so well that she gave me the creeps by just looking into the camera. I can foresee this movie become a cult along the lines of Donnie Darko. I will definitely keep a place for it on DVD. And the soundtrack does rock. Speaking of the music, I don’t think I can hear 867-5309 (Jenny) the same way again!

Solid review and you didn’t spoil anything for me. I look forward to seeing this film as B-grade horror is one of my favorites. Evil Dead and Evil Dead 2 were awesome. Army of Darkness in my queue.
