For all of you still jocking Han Solo as an Anti Hero...get off his nuts. He is one of my favorite characters in film but his loyalties are never ambiguous. Once the line is drawn in the sand, he takes a side and never sways...he is true to his friends and more importantly...true to his love. He is at best a sleeze bag with a questionable background.

In the search for an Anti Hero it is almost more important to look at what characteristics someone doesn't have than what they do. It is far easier to exclude people from this list than it is to include them...that is the dilema of moral ambiguity.

I guess nearly noone really understood the concept of being an "anti hero". Not even John. (Arthur Dent would be one e.g.)

While I love Bruce Willis films, I don't recall him playing an anti-hero. He's usually the hero - no question about it.

Seeing Porter on the list was nice. Or Parker in the novels that the character is based. But Jack Sparrow? Really? No Frank Castle in the Thomas Jane version - not the Dolph Lundgren crap-flick. What about Michael Clayton, since there seemed to be a lot of Clooney already on the list...?

Your definition of Anti-Hero is blurred and obscure. However I would like to add Tyler Durden from Fight club, and a true "bad guy" would be Grant Leland from Needful Things. Seriously watch those two movies, godly great movies, both have some funny as hell parts in them too.
