Wonder Woman is coming to DVD and BluRay in February as a brand new animated movie from the same folks who brought you Superman: Doomsday, Batman: Gotham Knight, and Justice League: The New Frontier. Keri Russell will be voicing the Amazonian princess, while fan favorite Nathan Fillion appears as the voice of Steve Trevor. Here’s a look at the trailer for the movie, and you can visit the official website here: Wonder Woman movie.

Ten Remakes That Don’t Suck

With the number of movies hitting theaters now, it’s hard to find true originality. There have been a slew of sequels and remakes that fail to live up to the original films that inspired them, but every once in a while there’ll be a remake that equals or surpasses the original. John’s back this week with a look at ten movies that fit just such a category.

Who Watches The Watchmen? See The Trailer!

Expect to see the teaser trailer for the eagerly awaited film adaptation of Alan Moore’s Watchmen before The Dark Knight! Can’t wait? It’s okay, neither could I. Here’s the trailer.

SYNOPSIS: Set in an alternate reality of 1985. A time when Nixon is still in office, we teeter-totter on the brink of nuclear war with the Soviet Union, and Superheroes were commonplace until they were forced into retirement. Only the mysterious Rorschach remains, lurking aimlessly in the streets. But when a former colleague is brutally murdered, Rorschach attempts to rally his other associates to investigate, but the ultimate question is “Who Watches The Watchmen?”

The film is directed by Zack Snyder who burst onto the scene a few years back with his remarkably spry remake of Dawn of the Dead. He followed that up with the incredibly successful film adaptation of Frank Miller’s Graphic Novel 300.

The cast includes Patrick Wilson, Billy Crudup, Carla Gugino, Jackie Earle Haley, Malin Akerman and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

This film has been in the works ever since the graphic novel first gained public attention after it was published, and the project has passed through the hands of many directors. Notoriously the closest anyone came (until now) was Terry Gilliam, who was set to turn it into an epic TV miniseries. But after all this waiting, come March 6 2009, WE will be watching the Watchmen…

Hell Yeah! Hellboy’s back, baby.

John went to see Hellboy 2 and has some great analysis and kind words to say about the return of Big Red and his friends at the BPRD.

There are times when all hell is breaking loose. Bad guys are attacking, and cops are pretty much there as scenery. Batman only comes out at night, and Superman doesn’t have a cell. So when your back is against the wall who do you turn to? Well, you turn to the first good samaritan who comes along, even if he (or she) isn’t what you were hoping for. Presented here and now is a list of ten people who aren’t your ideal choice for a knight in shining armor.

The Spirit’s Trailer: Hot Women and Bizarre SamJack

The official theatrical trailer for The Spirit is now available online. It confirms that the movie will be a very stylistic venture, very much in the style of Sin City and perhaps even moreso. The trailer focuses on the many gorgeous women surrounding The Spirit and then makes an abrupt left turn to the weirdness that is Samuel L. Jackson in this movie. Seriously, SamJack, what the hell?
