A weekly collection of the coolest themed fanart on the internet.

I love seeing all kinds of creative fan art, but I especially like to see seemingly unrelated (or overtly related) fandoms collide with crazy crossovers. I’ve featured crossover fan art twice before, and it’s just about time that we had a third dose!

It’s been a while since we featured a DC Comics character in Fan Art Friday, so this week we’re turning the spotlight on Poison Ivy, straight out of Batman’s rogues gallery.

Underworld: Awakening is in theaters this weekend, and this week’s Fan Art Friday features Selene, the vampiric heroine of the series!

One of Disney’s least popular animated movies always has been my favorite. Disney’s The Black Cauldron, a loose adaptation of Lloyd Alexander’s classic Chronicles of Prydain, was my first real exposure to epic fantasy, and it is this week’s Fan Art Friday focus!

One year is ending as another begins, and it seems like a perfect time to feature the spirit of rebirth in the X-Men universe, Jean Grey, aka Phoenix! Check out this assortment of great fan created art as we bid adieu to 2011 and head into 2012.

It’s the end of another year, and it’s time to feature some more great fan created art that shows off the fannish side of the holidays!

It’s hard to deny the nearly unanimous cries of praise for Skyrim, touted by many as the best game of the year and possibly of the past ten years. This week we pay tribute to the game and its world with a gallery of art from some of the game’s talented fans.

The new 2011 Thundercats series has brought a new generation of fans to the classic ’80s franchise. We’re celebrating the cats this week with a spotlight in Fan Art Friday!

What started as a graphic novel became a movie and then a symbol for real world social and political movements. V for Vendetta is the focus of this week’s Fan Art Friday, featuring fans’ interpretations of the antihero in that familiarly smiling Guy Fawkes mask.

The final leg of Ezio Auditore’s journey arrived in stores this month with Assassin’s Creed: Revelations. It’s been far too long since I featured this outstanding game franchise with a Fan Art Friday, so this week’s showcases Ezio, Altair, and their universe of conspiracies and murder.
