This week’s big XBox Live Arcade release is the return of a classic, the original Banjo Kazooie! Scheduled to coincide with the release of Rare’s new big retail game, Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts, the original game that started the franchise is available to download starting today for 1200 MS Points ($15). The Arcade game will feature all the gameplay of the classic game, plus it’ll allow you to unlock 200 new achievement points, as well as additional goodies in the new Nuts and Bolts game. Even at that, 1200 MS Points is a little too rich for my blood for this one. I’ll hold off on a purchase until the game hits a good discount, as Microsoft has been liking to do lately.
And speaking of discounts, if you haven’t gotten the Halo 3 Legendary Map Pack yet, you can grab it this week for 400 MS Points (down from 600). That’s the first downloadable featured as part of Microsoft’s new Holiday Deal of the Week program. If you have already dropped 600 points for this one, just use those additional 200 points you spent as fuel to anger your way through some grudge-laden deathmatches this week.
