E for Everyone is Kirby Krackle’s second album. Their sound is very different from any of the other bands I’ve reviewed. They have an indie / alternative sound with definite pop rock influence as well. On only the second listen of the album I found myself singing along with several of the songs.

Continuing from my last post on Japanese Music, I’ll be focusing on music found in anime. So, hold to to your drumsticks and keep your guitar picks handy… here’s a shortlist of great anime with great music!

Jersey Devil Press’s 2010 anthology collects 20 short stories, dropping the reader into the middle of a crazy collision of character moments, pop culture, profanity, and unspeakable acts with unicorns.

Being both an orchestra and a Star Wars dork, I seriously had to see this. I happened to be at a computer right at noon the day the tickets went on sale, and managed to snag us front row! I was super excited and so was the boyfriend, who is a big SW fan but had never seen a live orchestra perform. I told him he was in for a treat!

Supernatural fan artist Ileliberte’s use of color saturation always drew in my eye because the characters seemed whimsical and well-placed within the surroundings of the pieces. Then I found her line art pieces and while I readily commend many color art pieces, it is the absence of color in these pieces that take it to another level.

Top Cow Productions announced this week that the first issue in their current universe-spanning crossover series, Artifacts, is going into its third printing, a first in Top Cow history. To celebrate, they’re letting us post the entirety of Artifacts #0 for you to read!
